Beatriz: Three weeks ago, my husband and I had the chance to go to Oahu to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary. In celebrating, we wanted to do a photo shoot for our five years. As you can imagine finding he right photographer was something that was extremely important to us. While doing my research I came across stunning pics my Mel. I reached out to her on short notice and she was so flexible to accommodate the dates that we were visiting the island. Besides her being extremely friendly and kind over the phone she made the process extremely easy and made us feel extremely comfortable while doing the photo shoot. She found a beautiful location on the beach just how we had requested and arrived 30 minutes early to find the perfect setting for our photo shoot. Through out our photo shoot she was super professional and friendly. She had a vision throughout the whole photo shoot . With all this said, our pictures have arrived and the only thing we regret is that we didn’t know about her before our wedding. If you are going to the island and want absolutely beautiful pictures, then look no further, Mel is the one for you.

Between her and her assistant, she was able to capture all of the big moments for us. She even stayed a bit later than what we hired her for, which we greatly appreciated.

Olga:Last month we went to Hawaii as a family of 3 with our baby. We wanted to make it very special and to arrange a photo session on Oahu island. I had a hard time finding someone who is affordable and yet is taking awesome pictures. Gladly I found her (I think through Instagram). We got in touch, I looked at her works and talked to her via email and then on the phone once we got to the island. To sum up: 1) her price is very reasonable!!! 2) she does a great job taking great shots and helping you to pose which is awesome 3) she has a very nice personality. She cares about what she is doing. She helped us to find the best location for a photo session, she constantly monitored the weather conditions to make sure that we will get the best result. With all that being said I highly recommend to work with her, I am sure you won’t be disappointing. She does her job very good and in the end you will have wonderful pictures. On our wedding day she worked so hard and stayed at least 2 hours longer than we paid her for. Finding an affordable wedding photographer on Oahu is tricky, Mel’s rates are super affordable, you almost think they are too good to be true! We hired Mel, when we took our first professional family photos. It was the best decision we had ever made because our photos came out Amazing and just what we had envisioned. One of the things that I truly love about Mel, is the communication that she has with her clients. Not only does she offer superb service but she’s always prompt when replying back to calls/text messages. I believe she isn’t out there ripping people off (like most photographers with their ridiculous prices). With Mel, you pay a reasonable price for beautiful, high quality shots that I believe is worth more than what she’s charging. Definitely professional and friendly. Fun and easy to talk to. Neil: We booked a family photo session with Mel while we were on vacation. Our friends had previously used Mel and they recommended her. We corresponded over email and her response time is about a day or less. She has about 3 different packages and about 9 locations she likes to shoot at. We chose Kualoa regional park because it had a few different backgrounds (beach, mountains, outriggers, and dock). On the day of the session she met us at the park and we walked to the locations. She was very easy to work with and she was pretty in tune with the needs of our 1 and 2 year olds. When the girls got fussy or didn't feel like cooperating she would shoot couples pictures of us. Her prices are very reasonable and the pictures came out amazing. We will definitely use her services again if we're back on Oahu.

We stayed in Ko Olina and Mel knew exactly where to do the photo shoot and the best time of day for the beauty and lighting of the photos. The photographs she took were incredible! Niki: We found Mel through Yelp for our Maternity photo shoot in Hawaii. We loved her portfolio and packages she offered, so decided to go with her. She shared a document of recommended spots and description of each of those which was very helpful in choosing a location. She also helped us pick the outfits. A hurricane was fast approaching Honolulu and people were being evacuated. Mel worked extra hard to move things around from her schedule and fit us right in the middle of evacuations. She is open to requests and ideas not just while shooting but also while editing the pictures. Mel also gave us some complimentary pictures which was simply amazing!!! Luke: Mel recently photographed our 25th anniversary weekend getaway (with kids). She was very professional throughout the process. In the beginning, I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do and she helped me to define what was important and gave me many options to choose from for locations with the pros and cons of each. All the way up to the actual shoot, she was helpful and explained everything even when I had to "re-confirm". She had a great attitude and was very supportive throughout the process. At the shoot, she took multitudes of pictures and new what would work well with a big guy and small wife.
